I am a recovered yo-yo dieter who has a passion for mindfulness, healthy eating, and exercise! I've tried various diets over the years including the Dolly Parton Diet, the Cabbage Soup Diet (the soup was great, but I felt hungry whenever I wasn't eating!), the Carbohydrate Addict's Diet, and the South Beach Diet. This went on for over 20 years until I found the Am I Hungry? program. That was when I transformed my relationship with food! Now I eat the foods that I love (including chocolate, ice cream and chicken wings from time to time) without feeling like I need to do some kind of intense exercise to burn off those extra calories! I no longer stress about being a certain size or weight. I exercise because I want to not because I have to and I enjoy working out to many fun exercise programs! I practice mindfulness meditation most days of the week for my mental health!
I graduated from Marywood University with both my bachelor's and master's degrees in psychology and have been working in the mental health field for over 25 years. I've worked as a therapist with various populations and in various settings. I am a licensed Am I Hungry? mindful eating program facilitator and I'm licensed in Am I Hungry? mindful eating coaching.
