It's not about "right" or "wrong." It's about "effective" and "ineffective." WHAT WORKS? Dieting has not been effective. It has not worked. Guilt/shame has not been effective. It has not worked. Self Degradation and deprivation have not been effective. They have not worked. Purging has not been effective. It has not worked. "Rewarding good food behavior" is not effective. It has not worked. Competition in weight loss is not effective. It has not worked long term. Hiding and ignoring is not effective. It has not worked. So what works? Learning new skills. Am I Hungry could work for me and will not hurt me. My goal: Improve my living and eating skills.
